Every Easter morning, after tearing with the home on the search for hidden eggs, we’d gorge ourselves on candy up until our tummies hurt.

Memories of Easter mornings flooded back today when I swatched two of the four colors from Illamasqua’s pastel Nails collection for spring.

The colors have been offered with illamasqua.com for a while, however they show up at us Sephora stores this may ($14 each).

From left: Caress, Wink, Blow, Nudge

Nudge (the creamy greenish blue) as well as strike (the creamy yellow) look great sufficient to eat! — which would not be a great concept BTW (don’t do it!!).

Neither of them created streaks, either. When I lay the clean down as well as step it from cuticle to tip, the color applies smooth as well as even. two coats resulted in a completely opaque nail.

Definitely have a huge dose of patience, though, since they are truly thick. I felt like I spent a while eliminating excess color from the brush, not that it takes away from their performance; it just makes ’em take a bit longer to apply.

Oh, if you’re familiar with China Glaze’s Up as well as Away Collection, you may experience a wee bit of de ja vu/vu ja de as I believe China Glaze’s Lemon Fizz (a creamy yellow) as well as Re-Fresh Mint (a creamy greenish-blue) look kinda familiar.

Lemon Fizz as well as strike look nearly like twins, while Nudge as well as Re-Fresh Mint look like second cousins (Nudge is maybe bluer as well as Re-Freshment a lot more green).

Now, I believe China Glaze formulas are thinner as well as a bit much easier to work with, which is just a bit something to believe about.

So far, I truly like what I’ve seen. Can’t wait to inspect out the other colors this May!

The other cat…

It was sunny however still chilly this morning so I wished to wear the pair woolly boots my mommy got me for Christmas. Tabs, however, was NOT having it since he’s declared them for his own.

Why you so consumed with boots?

When he isn’t snuggling the boots, he’s attacking them, like some type of odd kitty love-hate relationship. It’s the weirdest thing!
